All in the name of self-defense

Realtors®, office managers and other participants increased their knowledge of and skills in learning self-defense as part of a training offered by Valley Self-Defense in Oak Park Heights on September 23 with all proceeds benefiting Spare Key, the 2024 grant recipient of the REALTORS® Charitable Foundation.

The 2-hour class was held during REALTOR® Safety Month and led by Valley Self-Defense instructor Danae, who provided real-life experiences and insights. The 15 participants learned how to punch, hit, kick and defend themselves against various kinds of attacks using common weapons including their body parts and items such car keys, water bottles and more that could help aid in keeping safe.
