What is #ThanksGivingBack
Each November is #ThanksGivingBack month at SPAAR. Created for Realtors® and real estate professionals to give back to the community during the season of thankfulness by supporting food shelves in SPAAR’s jurisdiction. Each year, SPAAR identifies an item that local food shelves are in need of and SPAAR members come together to donate the item.
2023 Impact
SPAAR’s 2023 #thanksgivingback “Raise the Bar” collection drive resulted in approximately 5,500 full-size soap bars donated to local food shelves through SPAAR’s jurisdiction.
In 2022, SPAAR donated toilet paper to the food shelves. In learning another donation was taking place in 2023, SPAAR received many messages, such as this one from Keystone Community Services: “We are so grateful for SPAAR’s generosity and I’m excited you’re reaching out again this year. This year’s initiative sounds incredible and is something that I know will be really appreciated by the community. Fantastic!”
