St. Paul Mayor Her visited SPAAR

SPAAR - 04/17/2026

SPAAR's Board of Directors and Government Affairs Committee had the privilege to hear from St. Paul Mayor Kaohly Her on April 16 when she visited the Association.

The visit was coordinated in conjunction with Fair Housing Month, and the Mayor and SPAAR leadership exchanged Fair Housing proclamations. In addition, Mayor Her spent time addressing the topic of housing, sharing some policy highlights and welcoming questions from members.

Mayor Her was elected as St. Paul's 56th Mayor in November 2025, and she received endorsements from key labor, housing and political organizations, with SPAAR being named among her key supporters in the election.

In fact, SPAAR members chose to support Her’s campaign because of her extensive experience in the Minnesota Legislature where she served as State Representative for House District 64A. Her plans to develop Saint Paul, expand housing opportunities, and focus on budget stewardship align with SPAAR’s policy positions.
