SPAAR’s Affiliate of the Month is Darcy McDonald

Darcy McDonald has been named SPAAR’s Affiliate of the Month for January 2026. A mortgage sales manager with Wings Credit Union, Darcy is an active SPAAR member and serves on the REALTORS® Charitable Foundation.

With more than 30 years of experience as a loan officer, Darcy loves to share success stories and shared that she was recently inspired by a client who had zero debt and money saved but because he didn’t have credit cards, and therefore not a credit score, they had to figure out an alternative for his home purchase. The client was able to put down 30 percent on his home and, with a little help from his mom, he should have his 30-year loan paid off in close to two years!

Darcy says people are always surprised to learn she’s an introvert who enjoys being able to hunker down and have quiet time because she also loves to speak in front of large groups and she claims the bigger the group, the better.

If given the chance, she’d enjoy dinner with actor Tea Leoni and says she especially loved her character in Madam Secretary, looks and all!

Darcy hopes to be remembered for showing people she cares.

“It’s the small acts of kindness and kind words we speak that can make all the difference for someone,” said Darcy, who helped champion Wings to sponsor a handful of recent events at SPAAR and REALTORS® Charitable Foundation events. “I try to be the light as much as I can.”
