BETTER Agents building BETTER Communities are the foundations REALTORS® stand on in a successful business.
SPAAR recognizes the importance of BETTER Communities by focusing on our members’ community engagement efforts and their contributions in community service through leadership and volunteering with local organizations.
Each year SPAAR recognizes one member who stands out in giving back to a local community organization by presenting them with the SPAAR Good Neighbor Award for building Better Communities.
The SPAAR Good Neighbor Award for building Better Communities is presented annually, and its recipient honored at SPAAR’s Winter Social in January. A financial contribution of $1,000 is awarded to the recipient’s charitable organization of choice.
Information/Candidate Eligibility Criteria
1 – Must be a REALTOR® or Affiliate member in good standing with the Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS®.
2- Nominee should be a recognized leader in some community endeavor. His or her contributions to a program and/or an organization should result in improving the quality of life in our service area and serve to demonstrate he or she cares about the total well-being of the community.
3 – Nominee must show dedication to the real estate profession and uphold a professional business reputation.
4 – Nominee must show involvement in the greater real estate community through State or National REALTOR® organizations and/or affiliated groups.
5 – The award is designed to recognize individual contributions; however, if an individual within a company is instrumental to the triumph of a group effort, he or she is eligible.
