SPAAR members partner with My Very Own Bed to bring comfort to local children

u003cspan class=u0022underline underlineu002du002dgreenu0022u003eu003cstrongu003eLast week, SPAAR members came together for two impactful service events in partnership with My Very Own Bed, an organization that provides new beds and essential bedding to children. u003c/strongu003eu003c/spanu003ernrnMVOB gives children not just a bed, but a space of their own while supporting productive sleep to help them learn and grow. These two volunteer opportunities were not only a chance for members to give back but also a powerful reminder of the positive change our industry can bring to the communities we serve.rnrnu003cstrongu003eDay One: Building 15 Beds for Kids in Needu003c/strongu003ernrnWith tools in hand, SPAAR members worked together to create beds that would soon bring a place to sleep, dream and recharge. In total, they assembled 15 new beds!rnrnu003cstrongu003eDay Two: Delivering Dreamsu003c/strongu003ernrnThe second day of the initiative saw SPAAR members building Dream Kits and delivering the newly built beds directly to the children and families. This was an especially rewarding experience, as volunteers got to see firsthand the joy and excitement on the faces of those receiving the beds. The delivery day also included the distribution of Dream Kits, which volunteers packed with pillows, sheets, blankets, and books, helping to ensure that each child had everything they needed to enjoy a good night’s rest.rnrnThese two days of service allowed SPAAR members to make a tangible difference in the lives of children who need it most.
