SPAAR members helped “Raise the Bar” to make an impact in soap donations      

SPAAR’s 2023 #thanksgivingback “Raise the Bar” collection drive during November resulted in approximately 5,500 full-size bars of soap. The soap is in the process of being distributed among food shelves throughout SPAAR’s 12-county service area.

In 2022, SPAAR donated toilet paper to the food shelves. In learning another donation was taking place in 2023, SPAAR received an influx of messages, such as this one from Keystone Community Services: “We are so grateful for SPAAR’s generosity and I’m excited you’re reaching out again this year. This year’s initiative sounds incredible and is something that I know will be really appreciated by the community. Fantastic!”
