SPAAR announces member matching grant recipients

SPAAR - 07/20/2026

It’s better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness. Here’s a match to help get started.

SPAAR’s Community Engagement Committee promoted its first-ever member matching grant program earlier this spring and received numerous applicants. The member matching grants were designed to help members help others.

Interested members who support a nonprofit organization that helps local communities were eligible to apply for a grant up to $500, and the results were impressive.

The recipients who received grant funding this past spring are Anoka United Methodist Church; Giving WoMN Community Fund; Lakes and Pines Community Action Council; MN AAPI Veterans Association; Rotary Club of North St. Paul, Maplewood and Oakdale; and Two Rivers Community Land Trust.

An excerpt from the Rotary of North St. Paul, Maplewood and Oakdale grant recipient reads: “We appreciate the role of Realtors® in helping residents find safe, affordable housing at all the various stages of life – first house, upgrades or downsizing. The professionalism that SPAAR fosters in its members mirrors the high standards we ask of our Rotary members. Thank you again for your support!”

Thanks to all who took part in the member matching grant opportunity. Stay tuned for future opportunities.
