REALTORS® Legislative Meetings conclude with a new strategic plan and focus areas

Minnesota had a strong presence that included two dozen SPAAR members and SPAAR staff members representing at the 2026 REALTORS® Legislative Meetings in Washington, DC, which ran from June 13-18. Among the main topics of the meetings included pushing for increased housing supply, navigating industry evolution and restoring member trust.

In addition, NAR CEO Nykia Wright provided many updates on the progress NAR is making on its 2026-2028 strategic plan geared toward transparency, accountability and member support. NAR's 2027 leadership team was also elected. NAR's Board of Directors approved maintaining national dues at $156 per member for 2027 and continuing its Consumer Advertising Campaign assessment structure from 2026.

During the Board meeting, NAR President Kevin Brown highlighted the Senate's advancement of the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, which Brown described as "one of the most significant bipartisan housing packages Congress has considered in years" and thanked NAR members and NAR's advocacy team for their efforts on increasing housing supply.
