REALTORS® Are Good Neighbors

SPAAR - 10/07/2022

Did you know that REALTORS® are good neighbors in their community?

November is #ThanksGivingBack month at SPAAR, and we want to highlight and say thank you to all the REALTORS® who make their communities a better place. According to the National Association of REALTORS®’ 2018 C.A.R.E. Report: Community Aid and Real Estate, 66% of REALTOR® members-at-large volunteer every month, and 82% of REALTOR® members-at-large made donations in the last year.

Anecdotal evidence shows that SPAAR members, unsurprisingly, are above average in both categories. You are truly “Better Agents – Better Communities.” With community partners such as Bridging, Meals From The Heart, and Hallie Q Brown Center, SPAAR members coordinate and volunteer efforts to support local organizations making an impact in our communities. Outside of SPAAR, members start their own organizations with many being recognized as SPAAR Heroes.

Get Involved

Want to give back, but aren’t sure how to get started? Start small, find an organization you believe in and do your homework. Two online resources for searching for volunteer opportunities: VolunteerMatch and Volunteer Untied.

In addition to these resources, start at SPAAR! Through the Community Engagement Committee and REALTORS® Charitable Foundation, SPAAR has partnered with community organizations that need volunteer help. For information about SPAAR’s Community Partners and how you can get involved contact Joe McKinley on the Staff Directory page.

Thank You

Once again, we say thank you to all SPAAR members for their volunteer efforts. If you know a SPAAR Member who should be recognized, nominate them for SPAAR Hero by filling out the online form.
