Office Staff and Unlicensed Assistants FAQ (fees and more)

NorthstarMLS Office Staff (OS) and Unlicensed Assistant (UA) billing includes individuals who are in these roles.

SPAAR recommends OS and UA talk with their broker(s) and/or agent(s) to determine who will be responsible for paying this fee, which is billed on a quarterly basis.

The fee was the result of a change from a third-party vendor to NorthstarMLS, which resulted in NorthstarMLS and SPAAR passing on the fee to the OS and UA roles. The billing for these roles has been in effect since January 1, 2025.

FAQ

What is the fee for Office Staff (OS) and Unlicensed Assistant (UA)?

Individuals who are in the Office Staff (OS) and Unlicensed Assistant (UA) roles will be billed $45 on a quarterly basis, which equates to $15 per month.

Why did SPAAR roll out the dues to OS and UA members?

The new fee is the result of a change from a third-party vendor to NorthstarMLS, resulting in NorthstarMLS and SPAAR passing on the fee to the OS and UA roles.

Is this payment transferable from one individual to another?

No. Fees are not transferable from one individual to another; however, any full month payment that is not used will be refunded to the card from which it was paid upon request. Partial months used will not be refunded.

What is the process if an individual starts in the middle of a billing quarter?

Prorated billing, on a monthly basis, will be accepted for individuals who start their role within a billing quarter.
