In the community: Keller Williams Preferred Realty in Burnsville gives back in multiple ways

SPAAR - 10/09/2023

Keller Williams Preferred Realty in Burnsville took part in an On-Demand Service Opportunity (ODSO) on October 4. The office made quick work out of assembling and packing 160 Snackpacks, which were then delivered to Open Door Pantry’s warehouse in Eagan, where they were available for shoppers that same day.

ODSO is brought to member offices by SPAAR’s Community Engagement Committee. Email spaar@spaar.com to learn about opportunities to connect with the community and how SPAAR can assist.

This same office also coordinated a successful collection drive this month, collecting new and gently-used socks to be donated to local emergency shelters. The office will deliver socks in mid-October.

Three nonprofits will receive socks:

The Lewis House

  • two locations as shelters for domestic violence - Eagan and Hastings
  • first battered women's shelter in the US in 1985

Dakota Woodlands

  • Eagan homeless shelter for families is the only one in Dakota County
  • can assist 22 families at a time

The Link

  • 28 programs for vulnerable youth
  • 13 housing specific programs
  • Passageways Shelter in Prior Lake provides housing for youth ages 16 to 24 who are victims of sex trafficking

Way to go, Keller Williams Preferred Realty in Burnsville!
