Fair Housing is for everyone. Everywhere. All year long.

SPAAR - 05/08/2023

Thanks to all who participated in one or more of the recent Fair Housing activities.

Fair Housing receives extra attention during April when it’s recognized by the National Association of REALTORS® as Fair Housing Month. However, SPAAR’s commitment to Fair Housing is year-round and, as Realtors®, we have the opportunity to demonstrate this commitment with each of our clients every day.

I’m excited to announce the winners of the annual Fair Housing coloring contest. We received a great stack of colorful, detailed and creative entries this year. This year’s grand prize winners, each receiving a $25 gift card, are:

  • Everly, in the age 6 and younger category,
  • Sophie S, in the age 7-12 category,
  • Amanda from Frogtown, in the age 13-17 category, and
  • Alissa from Savage, in the age 18-plus category.

Congratulations to all! A big thank you to everyone who participated in this fun contest that celebrates the importance of Fair Housing.

Lastly, a number of SPAAR’s city partners as well as one county took part in proclaiming Fair Housing Month in some way. I want to give a shout out to the following cities within SPAAR’s service area: Arden Hills, Centerville, Little Canada, Oakdale, Rosemount, Roseville, Saint Paul and Woodbury as well as a shout out to Ramsey County!

Fair housing protects our livelihood and business as Realtors® and depends on a market that embraces equal opportunity for everyone. Everywhere. Thanks to each of you for your continued work to make this a reality.
