Chris Ford is SPAAR’s Realtor® Champion of the Month for April 2026

SPAAR - 03/30/2026

Blaine Councilmember Chris Ford is SPAAR’s April 2026 Realtor® Champion of the Month.

Councilmember Ford was first elected to the Blaine City Council in 2024. The councilmember also works as a paraprofessional at Blaine High School, helping to educate kids and supports the community as a Park Board member, member of the Neighborhood Traffic Commission, and was appointed to Blaine’s Economic Development Authority.

Before his work in Blaine, Councilmember Ford served as a firefighter for 21 years, including 13 years as Captain in Rochester. There is no doubt that the Councilmember is committed to serving his community in whatever ways he can.

Councilmember Ford demonstrated his service to the community by casting the lone vote against banning detached ADUs in Blaine at a City Council meeting earlier this year. Building an ADU on one’s property is, or should be, a property owner’s right, and beyond that, can be one of the many tools communities use to alleviate Minnesota’s housing affordability and availability issues.

SPAAR thanks Councilmember Ford for taking a stand against the City of Blaine’s curtailing of residents’ property rights.

Congratulations, Councilmember Ford, on being named SPAAR’s Realtor® Champion of the Month!
