Did you know there are 1.3 million Realtor® members nationwide? A common misconception among consumers is that real estate agents and Realtors® are interchangeable terms. They are not.

Realtors® abide by the Code of Ethics, a requirement of membership and you may also have been asked by your broker or team leader to sign additional ethics paperwork when you joined your brokerage.

As part of your membership with the National Association of REALTORS®, all Realtors® are required to take a Code of Ethics (COE) course every three years.
