Supporting Rice Street “Old School” Boxing Gym

SPAAR’s Community Engagement Committee hosted Mike Evgen at its April meeting. Mike is the founder of the nonprofit Rice Street “Old School” Boxing Gym located on St. Paul’s East Side. The gym provides classes and gym time—not to develop fighters, but as a way of empowering young people. The committee approved a donation for the organization.
