Word on the Street: sharing the hauntingly-unique experiences of real estate professionals
SPAAR - 10/27/2025
With Halloween later this week, this month's Word on the Street has sought out members to find out: What hauntingly-unique experience have you had in your real estate business?
The responses are as follows:
"I've entered vacant homes only to be greeted with rodents. Dead mice. Feces. All good reminders to show up in advance of my clients!"
"I took clients to see an old farm house. We entered through the back door, and heard the front door, which was locked, slam shut. It was an empty house, but loud noises could be heard, an upstairs light was on, and we could hear the jacuzzi jets on, which I turned to off. My clients did not put an offer on this house."
"My clients and I toured a house. When we looked in the attic, it was apparent we were not alone and someone was presently squatting in that part of the house."
"Why are we running?! I was showing a house one day and something came running out of the closet. I saw it out of the corner of my eye; however, my client started running for the door. I immediately start running after her yelling, "WHY ARE WE RUNNING?!"
Thanks to all for sharing these hauntingly-unique stories!
