SPAAR’s Committee for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion has two member events taking place on Wednesday, January 29, and members are welcome to participate.
The first is a presentation by Mapping Prejudice and the second is a continuing education class by the Minnesota Homeownership Center. See more detail below.
Mapping Prejudice presentation: 10am to 12pm
Dive into groundbreaking research from the University of Minnesota that exposes historical racial covenants through a visual map. Get hands-on and learn how to identify and challenge barriers to equitable homeownership. Bring your laptop for this session.
Nonprofit Resources 101 on partnering for successful homeownership: 12:30 to 1:30pm
Learn from the Minnesota Homeownership Center about how nonprofit partnerships can help you support low- to moderate-income homebuyers and Minnesota’s diverse communities. Earn 1.0 CE credit while expanding your expertise.
Together, let’s tackle disparities, create meaningful change and help make homeownership accessible to all.
