SPAAR’s 3rd Annual Housing Resource Fair was a success!
SPAAR - 10/13/2025
Connecting the community with vital housing resources...this objective was achieved as SPAAR hosted its 3rd Annual Housing Resource Fair on September 25.
An inclusive, informative event, the Housing Resource Fair was created to connect Realtors and the public with housing programs and resources offered by federal, state and local governments, as well as nonprofit organizations.
Nearly 20 organizations participated in this year’s event. Representatives from Housing and Urban Development (HUD); Minnesota Housing; Anoka, Dakota, Ramsey and Washington counties; the City of Saint Paul; and nonprofits such as Habitat for Humanity; the Minnesota Homeownership Center; and Greater Twin Cities United Way were all in attendance. These organizations and more provided valuable information on a wide range of topics including down payment assistance, homebuyer education, home improvement loan programs and housing stabilization services.
The goal of the Housing Resource Fair is simple yet powerful: to connect people with the tools and support they need to stay in their homes, improve them or take the first steps toward homeownership.
About 40 attendees explored the fair, held in the halls of SPAAR’s office building. The crowd included renters, homeowners, Realtors and elected officials seeking a variety of information. One couple sought homebuyer education classes on behalf of their son and found exactly what they were looking for, and more.
SPAAR’s Housing Resource Fair is a valuable place to start as a first-time homebuyer, a step-up buyer, as a renter or in supporting others in their housing journey. This annual event will be back next year!
