Nonmember MLS subscriber access: what it is and what it means

Nonmember MLS subscriber access without requiring REALTOR® membership became effective on January 1, 2025, for those seeking to make the change, which was the result of the SPAAR Bylaws vote that took place in August.

The vote allowed members to voice their opinions on the following two action items that were 1) to allow for “non-substantive” updates as deemed necessary for some of SPAAR’s bylaws and 2) to allow for nonmember MLS subscriber access.

The communication sent by 2024 SPAAR President Amy Peterson and SPAAR CEO Gabe Walsh provided an overview of what will be included in the SPAAR offerings for REALTOR® membership compared to nonmember MLS subscriber access, the new fee structure, and updated website where readers will find an FAQ.

Many programs and services will only be offered to members, and there will be others open to everyone – some at no cost and some for a fee.

2025 REALTOR® dues were refundable through December 31, 2024, for REALTORS® who made the decision to change his or her membership status. Refunds are not available starting January 1, 2025.
