Nonmember MLS subscriber access: what it is and what it means

SPAAR last week sent information to all REALTORS®, including brokers, about the change to offer nonmember MLS subscriber access without requiring REALTOR® membership beginning on January 1, 2025.

This change is the result of the SPAAR Bylaws vote that took place in August in which members voiced their opinions on the following two action items that were 1) to allow for “non-substantive” updates as deemed necessary for some of SPAAR’s bylaws and 2) to allow for nonmember MLS subscriber access.

The communication sent by 2024 SPAAR President Amy Peterson and SPAAR CEO Gabe Walsh last week provided an overview of what will be included in the SPAAR offerings for REALTOR® membership compared to nonmember MLS subscriber access, the new fee structure, and updated website where readers will find an FAQ.

Many programs and services will only be offered to members, and there will be others open to everyone – some at no cost and some for a fee.

2025 REALTOR® dues are refundable through December 31, 2024, should a REALTOR® decide to change his or her membership status. There will be no refunds starting January 1, 2025.
