SPAAR Affiliate of the Month: April Ranallo

Congratulations to April Ranallo who was named SPAAR Affiliate of the Month for October 2025!

April Ranallo serves as the 2025 Chair of the SPAAR Affiliate Committee and as a member of SPAAR's Community Engagement Committee. Outside of committee involvement, April consistently attends Association events and seeks to create stronger relationships between Realtors® and Affiliates.

Q/A With April

What's one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?

I was a very quiet, shy and reserved kid until I graduated high school. Then, somehow, I ended up with a 180-degree opposite personality.

What's your favorite success story from helping a client or agent?

My favorite success stories are when I work with people who think buying a home is not an option, impossible, or just a pipe dream—only to see their faces at closing one month or one year later getting keys to their new home. Many are just scared to have their credit pulled or worried they don't make enough money, but if I can just get them to fill out an application to take a look, there is always a yellow brick road to be followed to get to Emerald City!

What's one tip you'd give to agents when working with affiliates like you?

Like everything in life: COMMUNICATION! We are all on the same team—buy and sell side—so when everyone communicates and keeps everyone involved and informed, no problem can be too big to overcome.

What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?

Be yourself in and how you do business. It is great to hear how others are successful, but if that mold doesn't fit you, do not try to fit into it. Instead, take the lesson or skill out of it and relate it to fit your preferences and personality. I spent many years fighting to do things the “way” I thought it had to be and was miserable and unsuccessful until I realized there are a million ways to help people—so just be authentically you; others will love you for it.

What other ways are you involved with SPAAR?

Being involved is KEY! I am the Chair of the Affiliate Committee, I teach CE classes at SPAAR, serve on the Community Engagement Committee, am currently serving on the board, and attend as many events as possible.
