Sign up for SPAAR’s housing-focused book club

SPAAR - 02/07/2025

SPAAR’s Housing Affordability Task Force is hosting another book club and, starting later in February, participants will read Voices of Rondo: Oral Histories of Saint Paul's Historic Black Community. In Voices of Rondo, real-life stories illuminate the northern urban Black experience during the first half of the twentieth century through the memories and reflections of Saint Paul’s historic Rondo community residents. The stories share the challenges of racism and poverty as well as the victories of a community that educated its children to become strong, find personal pride, and become the next generation of leaders in Saint Paul and beyond.

The book club meetings will start on Thursday, February 20, at 8am via Zoom and continue on Thursdays through March 27. To participate in this book club, contact SPAAR Government Affairs Director Simon Opatz at sopatz@spaar.com. SPAAR welcomes non-member participation.
