Serving Bridging Through A Strong Partnership With SPAAR

SPAAR - 11/22/2021

SPAAR has been a partner with Bridging for a number of years, and in 2021 its REALTORS® Charitable Foundation granted Bridging $100,000 for its work to help people in need.

In November 2021, SPAAR’s Community Engagement Committee led a volunteer Dresser Build with SPAAR members showing up to volunteer their time and talent.

In 2022, SPAAR will be participating in Dresser Builds four more times as its REALTORS® Charitable Foundation will partner with Bridging to coordinate community dresser assembly events within SPAAR’s larger geographic area. Details will be shared throughout the year as they are confirmed.

SPAAR members and their families will have ample opportunity to participate as SPAAR will need 200 volunteers for each event. SPAAR will partner with office teams and nonprofit partners in addition to youth and church groups, and members will be encouraged to invite clients, family and friends.

Do you know or individuals, a group or an organization that may be interested in volunteering? Contact Joe McKinley.

Bridging has other needs in the immediate future, too.

Bridging faces an urgent shortage of blankets as the temperatures are dropping. Donations of new or gently-used blankets can be dropped off at SPAAR’s Roselawn office or delivered directly to Bridging’s warehouse in Roseville at 1730 Terrace Drive.

Tell your clients about Bridging.

Referring your clients to Bridging is another way to assist the nonprofit. Whether your clients are decluttering, downsizing or pre-packing, their household items and furniture that is no longer needed can be put to good use to those getting into their first home.
