REALTORS® Relief Foundation awards $1,000,000 in grant assistance to Minnesota flood victims

The REALTORS® Relief Foundation has awarded $1,000,000 in grant assistance to victims of the recent floods that have deeply impacted families throughout Minnesota.
These funds are immediately available to support those affected, including both Realtor® members and all Minnesotans.
Key information about the grants:
- Grants provide up to $1,000 for any Minnesotan (not just Realtors®) forced to leave their home due to flooding.
- This assistance is available to both homeowners and renters.
- The grant can cover a mortgage payment, rent payment, or hotel stay up to $1,000.
- Applicants must submit the following:
- Photo identification to show proof of residency (e.g., driver's license or other government-issued documentation).
- A copy of their mortgage statement, new lease agreement, or hotel receipt.
- Proof of damage to the primary residence, which may include photos of the damage, insurance estimates, written claims, settlement proceeds or claim status reports, or repair estimates from contractors.
- Detailed application instructions are available within the application itself.
- Completed applications and supporting documentation can be submitted to floodrelief@mnrealtor.com.
- Applications are open until October 18, 2024.

NAR covers all administrative costs allowing 100% of donations to be used for disaster relief.
