REALTORS® Charitable Foundation helps boost Spare Key at Groove Gala

SPAAR's REALTORS® Charitable Foundation took part in the Spare Key Groove Gala on April 12. This is the second consecutive year Spare Key has been the grant recipient of the Foundation, receiving $25,000 toward its Help Me Bounce program that helps families dealing with medical catastrophes or illness to have the ability to focus on the care and recovery of a loved one rather than worry about how to make their financial payments, including housing-related payments such as utilities and mortgages.

According to preliminary results, this year’s Groove Gala resulted in the most money raised during the appeal within the last five years, and the Foundation’s $25,000 contribution was matched within one minute.

Twenty SPAAR members attended the event, including SPAAR CEO Gabe Walsh who addressed the hundreds of attendees. In addition, REALTORS® Charitable Foundation president Tracy Baglio was featured in a video that played during the event.

“I am continually in awe of the generosity we see during the appeal portion of the Groove Gala. We are so incredibly grateful for the match that we receive from the REALTORS® Charitable Foundation,” said Sarah Rocklitz, Spare Key’s Executive Director. “It inspires attendees every year to double their impact and makes a huge difference in that portion of the evening.”
