Notice of Action by Written Ballot of Members, Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS®

Pursuant to Articles XII(11) and XVI of the Bylaws of the Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS® (“SPAAR”), you are entitled to cast votes on the following proposed Amendments to the SPAAR Bylaws.

Background: The SPAAR Board of Directors has met and recommends amendments to the SPAAR Bylaws. These amendments require membership approval. The proposed amendments are detailed below.

Voting Period:  Voting will begin at 8:30 AM CST on Wednesday, August 14. All votes must be cast by 12:00 PM CST on Friday, August 16.

How to Vote: A link with voting instructions will be emailed to all members entitled to vote on the morning of Wednesday, August 14. All votes shall be cast electronically.

Proposed Actions to Vote On: There will be two actions to vote on. Both actions are for approval of amendments to the SPAAR Bylaws. Action 1 is to approve hundreds of revisions, updates, and clarifications to definitions and terms that can be characterized as non-substantive changes. Action 2 is to approve amendments to the bylaws that will: change affiliate membership accounting structure; more clearly define board of directors’ makeup; amend definition of a “Multiple Listing Service” and the MLS “participant”; allow applications for and MLS Participation for those who are not REALTOR® members.

Number of Votes Required to Approve Actions:  Per SPAAR’s Bylaws cited above, 50 votes must be cast, a majority of which are required for the actions to become effective.

August 8, 2:00 – 3:00 PM – Zoom Meeting (No In Person Option to Attend)

All SPAAR Member Sessions:

August 13, 9:30 – 10:30 AM – Zoom Meeting (No In Person Option to Attend)

August 13, 2:00 – 3:00 PM – at the SPAAR Office (No Virtual Option to Attend)
