NorthstarMLS Add/Edit downtime planned for evenings of Oct. 24th

NorthstarMLS will be updating the Add/Edit system to introduce several structural and performance improvements on Monday, October 24 between 7:00 pm – 12:00 am.

During this maintenance time, Add/Edit will be shut off and subscribers will not be able to log in, view or edit listings.

NorthstarMLS send out the following message regarding the updates.

During this maintenance time, Add/Edit will be shut off and subscribers will not be able to log in, view or edit listings.

We recognize that this earlier maintenance start time may be an inconvenience to some subscribers, but given the magnitude of the upgrade, we feel it is important to begin earlier and expect our careful planning and testing to result in the downtime not lasting the full five hours.

We will email you with confirmation when the update is complete.

Subscribers will be notified of this planned maintenance via messages on the welcome pages of Matrix, Paragon and FlexMLS, but please share this in your member communications as you see fit.

Once the maintenance is complete, we will update our welcome page messages and publish a blog showcasing the new enhancements mentioned above that will be promoted via the welcome pages and our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIN pages starting Tuesday, October 25.

No actions are required for subscribers using the upgraded Add/Edit system—their listings will appear and they can immediately enjoy new features and enhancements including:

• Larger maps and faster, auto populated searches for county, owner and address information when creating new listings
• Ability to enter room types in users’ preferred order using dropdown selection
• Simplified approach to viewing listings by showing listings per page and easier filtering by office capability
• Word changes including changing “Sold” to “Closed” in listing status and changing “Master” to “Primary” for bedroom and bathroom room descriptions
• Ability to more quickly and easily enter multiple Property ID fields when needed
• Eliminated required yes/no fields for Auctions and New Construction fields
• Combined agent name, NRDS ID and office information into single fields and new extension option for agent phone numbers
• Streamlined approach to entering data into the Compensation and Lot Measurement fields
