NAR accepting applications for 2026 committees

The National Association of Realtors® (NAR) Committee Application Portal is now open for all 2026 committees. Serving on a NAR committee allows members to influence NAR's policies, build leadership skills, expand networks, and enhance professional development.

NAR offers dozens of committees within the real estate industry including the following areas of expertise: Law & Policy, Housing Issues, Consumer Relations, REALTOR® Party Fundraising, Broker Relations, and many others. There's a committee for nearly every experience level, interest, or skillset.

Committees help shape the direction of NAR and its policies. Committees are the first place where ideas are discussed, and they bring recommendations forward to the Board of Directors for their vote and approval.

Committee application and appointment timeline: 

• The application process is open.

• The deadline to apply is May 15.

• The selection process runs May 16 to September 15.

• Committee appointments are announced on October 1, 2025 (tentative).

How to Apply: 

• Update Your NAR expertise profile to ensure your current term details are accurate.
• Submit your application. Apply for up to five committees and secure up to three endorsements per committee application. Note: A member cannot serve on more than one committee per year. However, an exception will be made for those serving in a "by virtue" capacity or if the NAR President deems necessary to maximize expertise.

   • Members with terms running through November 2026 do not need to reapply.
   • Vice Chairs do not need to apply for Chair roles.
