Mike “Mac” McAnally named SPAAR Hero for October 2017

“I believe everyone can create change, even in simple ways such as a smile, a hug or a genuine compliment,” said Mac, who serves on SPAAR’s Diversity Committee.

The October 2017 SPAAR Hero – and the association’s first-ever SPAAR Hero – is Mike “Mac” McAnally.

Mac volunteers with the Reading Partners Program at Benjamin E. Mays Elementary School in St. Paul. Through Reading Partners, Mac has been partnered with a student to read each week and is in his third year of volunteering with the organization. Mac is proud of the connection he has made with the student, and is committed to volunteering because he thinks even small steps can create big changes.

“I believe everyone can create change, even in simple ways such as a smile, a hug or a genuine compliment,” said Mac, who serves on SPAAR’s Diversity Committee and is also a member of the Minnesota REALTORS® Diversity Committee.

Mac is a REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker Burnet in Eagan. “In my small way, I help students; books and reading are so important for these children.”

Congratulations, Mac!
