Mayor Myron Bailey is SPAAR’s Realtor® Champion of the Month for January 2026

Myron Bailey, Mayor of Cottage Grove, is SPAAR's Realtor® Champion of the Month for January 2026.

Mayor Bailey was elected Mayor in 2009. Prior to this role, he served as a city council member for four years and on the planning commission for six years.

Mayor Bailey has been a lifelong resident of Cottage Grove and serves his community in capacities beyond his role as Mayor.  He is president of the Cottage Grove Economic Development Authority (EDA), currently serves on the Metropolitan Council’s Transportation Advisory Board (TAB), and is the current president of the Youth Service Bureau of Washington County.

Mayor Bailey is a tremendous advocate for, and steward of, Cottage Grove as demonstrated by his years of service to this community. He is also a tremendous ally for SPAAR and the Realtor® community. Mayor Bailey has overseen years of housing and economic growth in Cottage Grove, making it an increasingly more attractive place to live while also remaining affordable.
