Marjorie Weinhagen is SPAAR Hero
SPAAR - 05/08/2025
Giving back is at the heart of where SPAAR Hero Marjorie Weinhagen prioritizes her time. She has volunteered in many capacities above and beyond her professional careers in real estate and retail. Marjorie has been a Realtor® for the past 2.5 years with the Olsen Group at Keller Williams Premier Realty in Woodbury. She also managed several retail stores including Target and helping run Weinhagen Tire and Automotive, a family business, until it closed after an impressive 103 years.
Marjorie also coached basketball for nearly 30 years, starting at age 14, and says she was inspired by coaches who influenced her life that she wanted to pay it forward in coaching others. Marjorie, who was raised as one of four kids to a single mom who worked three jobs and attended school, is grateful not only for having played sports growing up, but for having coaches who doubled as extra parents in her life.
Beyond the court, Marjorie has volunteered for the Mounds View/Irondale School District, the Minneapolis Aquatennial, the Woodbury Foundation Annual Gala and various roles at SPAAR including serving as the 2025 chair for the Young Professionals Network (YPN). It was Marjorie’s volunteer commitment with the St. Paul Festival and Heritage Foundation, which puts on the Saint Paul Winter Carnival, for which she was selected to be SPAAR Hero. Marjorie has been involved with the Foundation since 2019.
“The Heritage Foundation is vital for building and serving the community,” said Marjorie who, along with her husband, has served as a Festival Chair, the highest volunteer position with the Winter Carnival. “I’ve gotten back 10 times what I’ve put into my volunteering, and I’ve met the most amazing people along the way!”
In fact, Marjorie believes her work with the St. Paul Festival and Heritage Foundation has contributed to her success as a Realtor® through the connections she’s made and estimates as much as 75 percent of her business comes from those connections.
Marjorie is married with three children ages 12 to 17. She’s a self-proclaimed dog lover with two rescued pit bulls named Angus and Porter. She lives in Mounds View.
