Janie Tutewohl is named SPAAR Hero

SPAAR - 06/09/2025

Janie Tutewohl’s 35-plus year real estate career began with a start in construction, following her dad’s tenure that stemmed 40 years. Expanding on this work, Janie started doing new construction real estate sales working as the builder’s job coordinator while also having the opportunity to show open houses.

In 2000, Janie chose a path away from the new construction scene and started working as a Realtor® in residential sales with a few different brokerages; then, in 2003, she met Steve Rall at Keller Williams Preferred Realty and has been with that Market Center ever since. In fact, today Janie works with her two sons, who followed in her footsteps and together they run the “Janie Home Team.”

Janie was born in, grew up in, raised her sons in, and lives with her husband of 39 years in Farmington. Janie is heavily involved in the community and was a Charter member of the Farmington Rotary Club for the first 22 years of its existence and still supports Rotary International and the Farmington Club.

She owns and runs a women’s clothing & gift shoppe called Market on Oak Boutique in downtown Farmington and recently opened the Community Room, where people can come together and gather for different events and programs.

Janie and her family volunteer at Grace Filled Table in Farmington. This organization provides fellowship and meals to families in need. The meals provide peace of mind to those struggling while building relationships within the community. In addition, Grace Filled Table volunteers teach culinary skills to those who want to learn. Janie and her fellow agents volunteer, serve meals and provide quarterly donations. Each SPAAR Hero receives $250 to donate to their charity of choice; Janie has chosen Grace Filled Table to be the recipient of this award.

“There was such a need for this because the local community food shelf was stressed and the need so great; it also provides a much needed source for community fellowship,” said Janie, who says she has a heart for children, which extends to helping fill backpacks for children headed back to school.

Toys for Town, a Farmington Police-run program, is another volunteer project where Janie shares her resources. The program provides holiday toys, a family meal and gifts for children newborn to 14 years old, as well as gift cards for teenagers. Janie and her fellow agents collect and donate toys and resources.

Janie’s commitments have made an impact throughout Farmington on many levels.

Congratulations, Janie, on being named a SPAAR Hero!
