Introducing SPAAR’s 2022 Board of Directors: Meet Nicko Spehn

SPAAR - 11/09/2022

Nicko Spehn became a Realtor® four years ago even though she first got her real estate license in 1990. Between then and now, Nicko served as a Dispatch Center manager within a utility company where she worked for 30 years. She is glad she pursued becoming a Realtor® again; while she regrets not doing it sooner, she’s glad to be part of making a difference in the lives of as many people as possible.

“There are so many wonderful, kind and knowledgeable people who are real estate professionals,” said Nicko, who shared she wanted to be a police officer when she grew up to protect and serve. “As Realtors®, my advice is to network, join committees and trade associations right away; don’t wait.”

When asked if she’s a dog or cat person, Nicko said she became a dog person about 10 years ago. When she and her husband married, they each brought two children to their blended family, and the youngest wanted either a baby sister or a girl dog; without hesitation Nicko and family welcome Angel, their mini golden doodle, and Nicko’s love of dogs began. Date nights with her husband, family time, and one-on-one walks and talks with friends are how Nicko enjoys spending her time when not at work.

The SPAAR Board of Directors provides strategic direction, leadership and guidance for the Association and its committees. Thank you, Nicko, for your work with SPAAR.
