Introducing SPAAR’s 2022 Board of Directors: Meet Jason Cassel

“Move your feet!” Thanks to the 1980s Tecmo Bowl video game, Jason Cassel dreamt of becoming an offensive coordinator coach designing football plays. In reality, Jason has been moving his feet for 20 years in real estate as a fourth-generation Realtor® continuing on in his family business.

When asked what he’d tell his younger self starting in the real estate business, Jason said, “Always cultivate and appreciate the value of every individual relationship you establish whether with a friend, a client, a peer, a broker as well those working in mortgage, title and all other areas. Don’t work for recognition but rather do work worthy of it.”

Being from Pennsylvania may explain why Jason’s favorite architectural style is an 1800s vintage stone farmhouse with a Pennsylvania Bank Barn; this style's most distinguishing feature of the banked barn is an area where one or more walls overshoot its foundation. In addition, they were often built into a hillside to ensure easy access to both the basement and the main level above.

When not working, Jason spends his time with the next generation, enjoying every moment with his three children: Maxwell, Harvey and Virginia Rose.
