Habitat for Humanity’s Spring 2024 Home Celebration is open to SPAAR members

SPAAR’s Housing Affordability Task Force donated $10,000 to Habitat for Humanity in 2023. These funds went directly toward helping a family in need to purchase a home in Roseville’s Community Land Trust.

Habitat for Humanity will host a celebration highlighting SPAAR’s donation, the family that the donation helped to house, and other similar stories on Saturday, May 18, from 11am to 2pm at the Harrison Recreation Center in Minneapolis, and SPAAR members are welcome to attend.

Here are just a few of the opportunities that will be featured at this family-friendly event:

• Games, activities and crafts.
• Tips and tricks about home maintenance and DIY projects – and the opportunity to share your own!
• Tour of the beautiful Harrison Townhomes build site.
• Meet ‘n greet with volunteers, sponsors, staff and other organizations who support Habitat's mission, and
• Light refreshments, music, dancing and entertainment from Twin Cities Road Crew.
