Nametags should always be worn on the right side just below the shoulder so, when individuals shake hands, their names are easily visible. Similarly, when at a networking event, it’s best to hold your plate or beverage in your left hand, keeping your right hand free to greet others.
These simple courtesies were among the lessons shared at the etiquette luncheon that Leadership SPAAR took part in on June 29. Held at the Saint Paul Hotel, the group learned a bit of dining etiquette coupled with networking tips and tricks.
Leadership SPAAR is a year-long program of SPAAR that offers opportunities to have in-depth experiences in legislative sessions, media training and other areas that enhance professional development.
