SPAAR - 06/09/2020

Denise Sjoberg has been named a SPAAR Hero.

An eight-year Realtor® veteran, Denise has found that volunteering is the foundation of her successful sales career. Growing up in Richfield, Denise was influenced by her parents volunteering at church and community events.

According to Jason Viana, executive director of Eagan’s The Open Door: A Fresh Approach to Ending Local Hunger, Denise is one of the more than 500 active volunteers and she is considered “absolutely essential” to his organization’s success. Denise aided in building a new partnership with a local school district which resulted in the expansion of The Open Door’s summer meals plan program. Denise made introductions and connections that paved the way to a 40 percent increase in meals served in the summer of 2019.

In addition to the volunteerism she does for The Open Door, Denise serves on the Board of Directors for Art Works Eagan, Board of Directors for Eagan Kick Start Rotary, Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce and is an 11-year volunteer in the Job Transitions Group at her church.

Congratulations, Denise!
