A Message on NorthstarMLS: Planning for our Future

Dear Members,

The real estate industry is transforming rapidly, with shifts driven by litigation, regulation, technology and more. As your trusted associations Minneapolis Area REALTORS® (MAR), Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS® (SPAAR) and Southeast Minnesota REALTORS® (SEMR) we are dedicated to ensuring NorthstarMLS remains a vital asset for your business.

Since its inception, NorthstarMLS has evolved to meet your needs, adapting its operations and governance to support our members. To determine if further evolution is needed to secure its future, we’ve formed an MLS Shareholder Visionary Task Force. This group is carefully assessing our ownership and governance structure to maintain service continuity, reduce risks and respond to today’s dynamic environment.

We’re sharing this update to keep you informed and confident that your associations and NorthstarMLS are working together to support you. The task force will begin meeting this month. To allow the task force the space to explore all possibilities freely, their discussions will remain confidential. Any recommendations from the task force will be presented to our boards at the end of this year. We’ll provide updates when possible after the task force has completed its work.
