New Member Orientation & Code of Ethics

Thank you for your membership with the Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS®! Orientation is required of all new REALTOR® members and must be completed within 90 days of joining the Association.


Register for a Class!

If you did not register the day you joined, please contact us at 651-776-6000 to schedule your orientation. Classes are held monthly – usually the third Wednesday of the month. Find a class.


Classes are held at the SPAAR headquarters:

You will receive an email reminder 2 days prior to the class date. If you need to reschedule, please notify the Association 24 hours prior to the class date.

This class will educate new licensees about the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics and how it promotes professional ethics in real estate. We will review some of the Code’s Key Articles, discuss how they apply in common scenarios faced by real estate professionals and explore the legal and ethical duties REALTORS® have when these situations arise. A detailed explanation of the Ethics Complaint process and potential discipline if found in violation of the Code of Ethics will be given. Suggestions for corrective action and communication will be discussed as a standard of practice.

This educational offering is recognized by the Minnesota Commissioner of Commerce as satisfying 2.5 hours of credit toward Continuing Real Estate Education requirements.
