News Release: Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS® RPAC Endorses Pat Harris for Saint Paul Mayor

Saint Paul, Minnesota – September 29, 2017 – The Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS® Political Action Committee (“SPAAR RPAC”) endorsed Pat Harris for Saint Paul Mayor Friday morning.

“Pat Harris is a strong advocate for housing, homeownership, and private property rights,” said Deb Newell, chair of the SPAAR REALTOR® Political Action Committee Board of Trustees. “His experience on the Saint Paul City Council and in the private sector will guide his efforts to expand Saint Paul’s tax base and implement budgetary solutions, without overburdening Saint Paul’s homeowners.”

SPAAR RPAC determines possible endorsements through a candidate screening process, conducted by SPAAR RPAC volunteers. Candidate interview volunteers assess a candidate’s support for REALTOR® priorities, as well as the electability, previous voting record, and experience of each candidate interviewed.

Following this screening process and thorough committee deliberation, the SPAAR RPAC volunteer interview panel voted to support Pat Harris for Saint Paul Mayor, based on his qualifications, experience, and support for REALTOR® issues.

“Saint Paul is a wonderful place to live and work, and we look forward to working with Mr. Harris to attract new residents to the city, and help the people of Saint Paul achieve the dream of homeownership,” said Newell.

SPAAR RPAC is a non-partisan organization, endorsing candidates who support REALTOR® policies to encourage homeownership, and create and maintain a healthy housing market in Saint Paul.
