Update to NAR Code of Ethics
NAR President Kevin Sears shared an update about changes to the Code of Ethics that were ratified at the recent REALTORS® Legislative Meetings—specifically, Standard of Practice (SOP) 10-5 and Professional Standards Policy Statement 29, which fall under Article 10.NAR warns of cryptocurrency scam
The U.S. Secret Service has informed the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) about a new cryptocurrency scam targeting real estate professionals, some of whom have lost a significant amount of money. In the scam, fraudsters pretend to be wealthy all-cash homebuyers and engage a real estate agent to develop a relationship.Recommendation: complete required CE early this year.
Members are encouraged to complete Continuing Education (CE) requirements by June 15, 2025. A partial government shutdown could disrupt CE processing and impact real estate license renewals for both brokers and real estate salespersons.
